Shape the Future of Healthcare through Tanzania's Workforce

The National Human Resources for Health (HRH) Conference is back. In commemorating the legacy of His Excellency Late Benjamin Mkapa-Former President of Tanzania, the Benjamin W.Mkapa Foundation in collaboration with Government of Tanzania will host the National HRH Conference on 29th - 30th July in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania prior to the high- level Mkapa Legacy Summit of 31st July 2024. The conference comes at a crucial time when Tanzania is striving to address the human resource gaps in health and driving a transformative process to attain a resilient health system for Sustainable Development. The global shortage of Health Care Workers threatens healthcare access, and Tanzania is no exception. But also, the efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage(UHC) goals in Tanzania are hindered by the critical lack of skilled health professionals, as outlined in the recent HRH profile.

Your chance to be part of the solution is here.

We're bringing together healthcare stakeholders from Tanzania, neighboring countries, and across the world to share best practices, influence policy, and develop innovative approaches for better quality healthcare, with focus on how to attain a resilient health system for sustainable development, not just for the country but for the entire region. We'll be featuring the front liners—the healthcare professionals themselves—ensuring their voices are heard and solutions directly address the challenges they face. This conference is a strategic contribution to Tanzania's ongoing process of re-defining its global development targets under SDGs and the upcoming new National Development Vision 2050. By addressing the HRH crisis, we pave the way for a healthier country, and the globe.
